INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Heat and humidity are expected to gradually increase even more over the last weekend of summer and into next week. Rain and storm chances are also looking to return to the forecast.
Friday night: Skies will remain partly cloudy this evening with lows dipping in the low to mid 60s. Patches of fog could form again overnight.
Saturday: Summer air will lock in a little more as temperatures rise into the mid 80s with mostly sunny skies. The heavy meter will also increase. giving way to a rather uncomfortable afternoon.
Sunday: A mix of sun and cloud is expected throughout our Sunday as we hang out on the warmer side of things. Much of the day will be dry before the chance of isolated to scattered showers and storms moves in Sunday evening. There may also be a shot for a strong to severe isolated storm or two late in the day for northwest Indiana. Damaging winds and hail will be the main threats. The highs seem to peak in the mid-80s.
8-day forecast: Isolated to scattered rain and a chance of storms persist into the first half of Monday before we dry out for the rest of the week. The heat and humidity will continue to hold their sway with highs advancing near the 90° mark through midweek next week. Early fall next Thursday still looks pretty warm with highs in the mid 80s.
