INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Cooler air has returned to the region tonight. We are watching for several chances of rain this week.
TONIGHT: Clouds in the northern half of the state will begin to gradually thin this evening. Low temperatures will return to the mid upper 40s.
TOMORROW: More sunshine will be present throughout the State. Clouds will rise closer to sunset from the west. High temperatures reach 70 degrees.
TOMORROW EVENING: Cloudy skies will be firmly in place. A few showers will be possible later in the night along a crossing warm front. Low temperatures in the mid upper 50s.
TUESDAY: Showers and thunderstorms will come in waves on Tuesday. The first morning wave will rise over the area. Noon could see the sun rise. This will fuel even more showers and thunderstorms developing in the afternoon and evening before a cold front. Southern Indiana is at a slight (2/5) chance of severe weather for these afternoon and evening thunderstorms. There’s still a lot to figure out with this setup given that we’re days away. The highs hit the low end in the mid-70s.
8 Day Forecast: We are watching for another chance of rain on Thursday which may persist into early Friday. Overall, our temperatures will drop as the week progresses. 60s for highs Thursday and Friday.
