NEWS: Your next flight to Disney World could be CHEAPER

Thinking of planning a trip to Disney World soon?

Good news if you are leaving soon!

We certainly don’t blame you! But, if you’re worried about all the recent issues plaguing the airline industry, you might be wondering if planning a trip is worth it. We’re here to tell you that now might be the perfect time to book this trip, because plane ticket prices are falling!

Travelers can breathe a sigh of relief – at least for a little while – as airfares come down! According to the Associated Press, the average price of a plane ticket fell 7.8% in July, to $311. While this may sound like great news, the average ticket was still 27.7% higher than July last year.

Headline inflation also slowed slightly in July, but consumer prices are still up 8.5% from a year ago.

The plane ticket is lower

Demand has allowed airlines to raise the cost of airfares, but rising fuel prices are still cited as one of the main reasons for higher fares. We’ve seen ticket prices peak in May, but prices are down, which can be typical in late summer and early fall when kids head back to school.

Try to book early when you can.

Travel app Hopper predicted that domestic airfares will drop to $286 in August. Although prices are expected to rise in October and November, Hopper predicts airfare will be $300 or less through September. Prices are likely to rise as many people will book trips for Thanksgiving or Christmas and demand will drive prices up further.

If you are planning a trip in August or September, you could benefit from these lower prices. But if you have travel plans for the holidays, be sure to book as soon as possible as prices should go up and fill up FAST!
