INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – It will be a windy and warm weekend across much of Indiana.
TODAY: We will see the first high of 80 degrees of the year today. Highs are climbing into the lower 80s this afternoon. The sky generally remains sunny for most of the day. Winds will be a little gusty from the south and southwest at times. They can gust up to 30 mph during the day.
TONIGHT: Skies will remain mostly clear this evening. It’s going to be mild and still a bit breezy with lows staying in the lower 60s.
SUNDAY: Much of Sunday will be dry, however as the day goes on the clouds increase and so does our chance of rain. It will be another windy afternoon with highs in the upper 70s near 80s. Showers and a few thunderstorms develop in the afternoon. Some thunderstorms could be stronger later in the evening with gusty winds and heavy rain.
SUNDAY EVENING: Marginal risk has been issued for the northern and western part of the state. Moderate to heavy rain may be possible overnight Sunday through Monday. Lows fall in the mid-50s.
MONDAY: Skies remain mostly cloudy with rain likely for the first half of the day. Temperatures drop into the lower 60s.
8 DAY FORECAST: We’re drying out for the rest of the work week, but also getting cooler. Temperatures drop into the mid-50s for the middle part of the week. Highs are back in the 60s for next weekend with a chance of rain on Saturday.
