7Weather – The interior spots will experience their first heat wave this summer. This is a long heat wave with areas away from the immediate coastline forecast for 6 consecutive days in the 90s.
Let’s start tonight. There will be a few persistent thunderstorms throughout the first part of the night with thunderstorms ending between 12:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. After that, a cold front moved in and started dropping our humidity from west to east. Most of the night will continue to be tropical, then we will start losing humidity tomorrow morning.
It will still be a little heavy early tomorrow morning, but the humidity is dropping and it will be comfortable in the afternoon. The humidity isn’t bad, but it’s warm with highs in the 90s.
It’s still not too humid on Wednesday, just warm with highs in the mid 90s.
Thursday will be the warmest with an increase in humidity. The dew points are tropical, which means that our heat index values will be close to 100º. If you work outside, be sure to stay hydrated and take plenty of breaks.
The heat continues through the weekend with highs in the low and mid 90s. A sea breeze probably keeps the coast a bit cooler.
