The Humboldt County Office of Emergency Services has issued immediate evacuation orders for two residential areas east of Willow Creek.
“Residents of these areas should evacuate now,” an alert read, adding that there is no immediate threat to Willow Creek, but residents of the two areas – located north of logging road 7N15, south of Seeley McIntosh Road, east of Seeley McIntosh Road and Campbell Ridge Road and west of Forest Route 7N15; and north of Forest Road 7N15, south of Horse Linto Creek Road, east of Peach Tree Lane and west of Coon Creek Road – are under legal order to leave.
An evacuation warning is also in place in the community of Salyer, just east of the Humboldt-Trinity county line.
The area around Willow Creek has been awash with at least 10 fires since this morning when a thunderstorm sparked numerous fires in the area.

An evacuation center has been set up at Trinity Valley Elementary School (730 State Route 96) and folks from the Willow Creek Bulletin Facebook page are coordinating large animal evacuations.
