– Kim being Paris Hilton’s friend, and her sex tape
– Kim and Kanye’s relationship
– Khloe’s DUI
– Kris’ relationship with Kaitlyn Jenner
– Kourtney and Travis do PDAs everywhere
– The fact that the family has a combined 1.7 billion followers (makes that a crazy stat)
That is just about everything. Lots of fluff about their lives and how they became rich and famous. A good point was that their fame and money started to really take off when they decided to stop promoting other brands and start promoting their own businesses. I mean… yeah, duh? I do not know. What I wanted was the essential. The real hard-hitting questions we all want to ask, but never really get answered. To be fair, the Kardashians really are “open books.” We know everything about them because they always give us clues, so it’s hard to get real information that we don’t already know. I can’t lie, this special didn’t really bring us anything new or shocking.
When asked about her kids and Kanye, and what they know about what’s going on, she replies, “I try to be open and honest with my kids, the eldest two know what’s going on. I hate that it goes like this. [online] but when it comes to family, Kanye and I will always be family. I just want my kids to be happy and healthy and think about their daddy’s world, and they do.” She also said, “It’s hard to take the high road, everyone has their own way. to communicate and I’m always a champion of telling him his truth,” when asked how she herself felt about Kanye’s behavior. (Great Answers Kimmy)
Robin asked Kim about the backlash to her now famous “Get Your Ass Up and Work” promo. She replies, “Even to be an influencer, you really have to work hard to get there, even though it may seem easy. This statement was in no way directed at women or about women in this way. It was not not a blanket statement towards women, or feel like you don’t respect their work or think they don’t work hard I know they do Honestly if you were offended by the statements Kim’s “work” you’re probably NOT breaking your ass. Anyone who breaks your ass at work understands her mentality and isn’t offended by it. She clearly didn’t mean that no one else works as hard as she does. ‘she, so ain’t got her fame She talkin’ about the grind and the TBQH I think she hit him right in the head There’s millions of people who only make half their time life and complain about not having the kind of success they want. t the pedal to the metal clap with Kim.
Robin also asked her about her struggle to earn respect in the industry, and whether or not she still had “open” doors for her. “I’ve been in this business for 20 years, and being on a reality show didn’t open any doors. Being on that, and a girl with a sex tape, all the doors closed for me. I had to work very hard to gain credibility. [I am] Absolutely always fight for respect. I say all the time, I didn’t even think Vogue was in my vocabulary, let alone being on the cover.”
Asked about SKIMS, Robin says “do you feel like you’ve changed the narrative about how the world sees women?” Kim responds, “We’re different shapes and sizes, even looking at my sisters, we all have really different bodies. I never felt inclusiveness growing. Everyone was blonde and tall and thin and I don’t never connected to anyone I think that’s why I was so inspired to start SKIMS, I wanted a line that had no boundaries Everyone should feel exactly what they want to feel and be praised exactly as it is. They should receive this. U GO GIRL!
And finally, when asked about her relationship with Pete Davidson and how serious it was, she replied, “I’m a girl in love. I wouldn’t be with anyone if I hadn’t planned to spend a lot of time with him. . I obviously want to take my time, but I’m very happy and very content, and it’s such a good feeling to just be at peace.” AMEN GIRL ~*finger snaps*~
When asked “how she did all of this”, Kris replies “What my goal has always been is to raise my children, and the dream would be to see each of them find their passion.” She goes on to say that she always wanted six children and that a lot of her early life mirrored her own mother. “Kourtney and I opened a children’s store like me and my mom had, I think I was just following in her footsteps.”
Robin then proceeds to talk about Kris’ reputation for being a strong leader and asks her how she gets into a negotiation. “Here’s how I feel about the negotiation. I feel like I’m direct and strong, we created the KUWTK show and it turned into something bigger than I could ever have could imagine. Every day is like ‘buckle your seatbelt’, I never know what I’m going to wake up to in the morning.”
Kris is then asked to give us an update on her relationship with her ex, Kaitlyn Jenner, and how her transition has been on Kris and the family. “We’re fine, yes, we’re friends. I see her when she’s at a family reunion. It’s calmed down a lot, it’s been a big shock. It’s a scary thing to go through when you don’t know anything It’s a subject that I never thought I would understand, something that I didn’t understand.” It made me sad. Kris just had to sit and silently mourn her divorce and the essential death of (another) husband, and any “negative” comments she might have made about her marriage would have made her seem like she didn’t support her. this huge change in Kaitlyn’s life. But what about Kris’ life? 🙁
Kris on Pete, “Pete is awesome. He’s a really nice guy.” Official approval from the Matriarch!
I wish we had more Khloe. I think she’s the best in these kinds of interviews because she’s so talkative; I always thought she was the most “real” in terms of personality when it came to the Kardashians.
Robin asked Khloe if she wanted some of her most private moments to remain private. She says: “I think we all dream of those times, but we also know that’s what we signed up for. At the same time, you can’t predict the magnitude of what this machine is. The Kardashian machine.” (Somewhere Kris already has the mark “The Kardashian Machine”)
Khloe also revealed that she had her nose done, something so insignificant that I didn’t even realize it was a big reveal when she said it. “All my life, I’d say I’ve always wanted to get my nose done, but it’s in the middle of your face and it’s scary. I finally did it, and I love it.” She was also asked what her relationship with fashion is, given how much of her family is involved. “I’ve always had a love-hate relationship with fashion, as my weight has always fluctuated all my life.”
Khloe also sweetly says, “My mom believed in us more than anyone else and [this is all] because of her.”
Robin begins to ask harder questions about Tristan. Not too hard, but luckily Khloe wasn’t letting him off the hook easily. “What I’m going through in real life is not what I’m going through on social media. I remember when he cheated on me before he gave birth, and I still had him in the delivery room. But when my daughter watches videos at home, she’ll see how I could make them [for her.] Tristan just isn’t the right guy for me.” That was a bad move. She thinks of her daughter and lets us know she just tolerates Tristan at this point. He’s a jerk!
And, finally of course, his thoughts on Pete: “He makes her laugh. He’s a really nice guy.” Looks like the family is 100% on board!
When asked what she learned working alongside her mother, Kourtney replied, “I often think about it, I learned so much just watching her, listening to her on the phone, watching how she organized her life, down to little things.. I think that helps give you the motivation to do it. It was important for me with Poosh to do it myself.
And of course, when asked about Travis; “It’s so funny when you think, it’s us, can you believe it? We were friends! I felt deeply when we looked into each other’s eyes and it was physical, then it was over .” Yeah Kourt, we saw the pictures, we can believe it!
Kendall + Kylie
Not a lot of Kendall here. A quote from her after being asked how she was affected by this life; “One thing that has affected me is the amount of negativity I see, there is literally too much. I feel like I can’t do anything right.” Sad as shit. Both Kendall and Kylie lived differently than their sisters, with Kim saying, “I feel bad because we all had childhoods before that. That’s what they grew up with.”
There was a lot of talk about Kylie being a billionaire, but Kylie herself wasn’t in this special. The only good line from this segment was Kris saying that Kylie often doesn’t want her advice when it comes to her business. She tells him to “go to lunch” when she feels she is getting too involved LOL. Kendall was barely there too, but pretty much zero Kylie tells me she wasn’t into it, or just too busy. I wonder if they don’t appreciate the “Kardashian” tag on it all, with zero “Jenner.” Technically, these two aren’t “Kardashians” at all, even though they are cogs in the wheel of The Machine.
That is just about everything ! Overall, I still love this family, but none of it was as new or interesting as I said. I don’t regret watching it, but I wish I had more footage or better questions. I’m sure a ton more was recorded and requested, but the final edit just didn’t move the needle like I had hoped. Looks like we just need more ON HULU NEXT WEEK!!
